    Bio on Susie Johnson

    Coaching Career
    Susie Johnson spent 10 years as an assistant and associate head coach at Milwaukee before becoming head coach in 2007. Entering the 2026 season, she is in her 20th year as head coach and 30th overall with the program. She has led the team to 316 wins, six regular-season titles, four conference tournament championships, and four NCAA Tournament appearances. Overall, her teams have posted a 542–315 record, including 325–113 in league play. Johnson has coached 11 League Players of the Year, along with multiple AVCA All-America and All-Region selections.

    Playing Background
    Johnson was a setter at Idaho State, earning All-Big Sky, All-Northwest Region, and two Academic All-Big Sky honors. Her playing experience shapes her focus on both athletic and academic success.

    This session is pending for SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs) and HRCI re-certification credits.
